School Holiday Hub respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can access, correct or delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Mailing list: your email address, if you subscribe to hear about new listings.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message, when you send us an enquiry.
  • Account details: if you sign in, basic account details (such as your name and email) via our authentication provider, Clerk.
  • Basic analytics: general usage data such as pages viewed, so we can understand how the site is used.

Why we collect it, and how we use it

We use this information to run the site, respond to your enquiries, send the mailing list emails you've opted into, keep the directory accurate and up to date, and understand how School Holiday Hub is used so we can improve it. We don't sell your personal information.

Where your information is stored

We use third-party service providers to run the site, including Supabase (our database), Vercel (hosting) and Clerk (sign-in). Your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Australia by these providers.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time via our contact form(select “Privacy request”).

Marketing emails

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, which takes you to our unsubscribe page.

Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please tell us via our contact form(select “Privacy request”) and we'll look into it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
